  16.           The _x_s_t_d_c_m_a_p utility can be used to selectively define
  17.           standard colormap properties.  It is intended to be run from
  18.           a user's X startup script to create standard colormap
  19.           definitions in order to facilitate sharing of scarce
  20.           colormap resources among clients.  Where at all possible,
  21.           colormaps are created with read-only allocations.

  24.           The following options may be used with _x_s_t_d_c_m_a_p:
  25.  
  26.           ----aaaallllllll    This option indicates that all six standard colormap
  27.                   properties should be defined on each screen of the
  28.                   display.  Not all screens will support visuals under
  29.                   which all six standard colormap properties are
  30.                   meaningful.  _x_s_t_d_c_m_a_p will determine the best
  31.                   allocations and visuals for the colormap properties
  32.                   of a screen. Any previously existing standard
  33.                   colormap properties will be replaced.

  35.           ----bbbbeeeesssstttt   This option indicates that the RGB_BEST_MAP should
  36.                   be defined.
  37.  
  38.           ----bbbblllluuuueeee   This option indicates that the RGB_BLUE_MAP should
  39.                   be defined.

  41.           ----ddddeeeeffffaaaauuuulllltttt
  42.                   This option indicates that the RGB_DEFAULT_MAP
  43.                   should be defined.

  45.           ----ddddeeeelllleeeetttteeee _m_a_p
  46.                   This option specifies that a specific standard
  47.                   colormap property, or all such properties, should be
  48.                   removed.  _m_a_p may be one of: default, best, red,
  49.                   green, blue, gray, or all.

  52.                   This option specifies the host and display to use;
  53.                   see _X(_1).
